Customers appreciate that the pouches fit through the mailbox

Helping people achieve better health. That is what WholeFiber is striving for! The start-up has been active in the Benelux for over two years now with its natural product WholeFiberTM. WholeFiber contains no less than 85% prebiotic fiber, which promotes healthy intestinal flora. Besides the existing packaging in jars, managing director Marianne van Es was looking for new packaging. How did she come into contact with the Pouch Factory?

Easy through the mailbox

The WholeFiber product is sold in physical stores and online. Marianne says: “For our online sales we were looking for new packaging that would fit through the letterbox. This wish was also clearly expressed in our customer survey. If the buyer is not at home at the time of delivery of a mail package, he or she has to pick up the package at a pickup point and be there on time. This is sometimes inconvenient. It would be more efficient if WholeFiber could just go through the mailbox.” The solution was simple: in addition to in a jar, offer the product in a pouch! Who could help her with that?

Durable pouches

Marianne had several suppliers in mind. “I find it important that a partner thinks along, shares knowledge and advises. These were our first pouches, so I wanted to do it right the first time. Sustainability is important to us: the chosen packaging is 100% recyclable.” At the Pouch Factory, we invited her for a consultation. “I really liked the contact, it felt right away. When I was back in the car, I already received information about the planning of next steps – including delivery times. From the beginning the lines of communication were short and the Pouch Factory was very attentive to our business.”

Service-oriented partner

At the Pouch Factory, we provide clients with a design for their pouch, but with an existing design, we also like to act as a sparring partner. Marianne gave us a first version of her design. “I received many valuable tips from the Pouchfabriek. For example, they suggested putting ‘100% recyclable’ clearly on the front, because that is unique to the material. That way of thinking with me was what I was looking for; developing the pouch really felt like teamwork. I was especially pleased that the Pouch Factory made several proposals for the sample packaging. After all, a pouch is easier to judge when you have it in your hands.”

Taking Wholefiber on vacation

WholeFiber’s pouches are now on the market. What do customers think of them? Marianne: “We get many enthusiastic reactions, users find the packaging very beautiful and above all very practical. The fact that the pouches fit through the mailbox is highly appreciated. Customers can opt for ordering convenience: every month the package of intestinal health is then automatically delivered to the mailbox.” The flexibility of the pouches can be seen in several areas. “Some order a jar first and then order the pouches as a refill pack. When traveling, a pouch is easier to carry than a jar. In retrospect, the convenience offered by the pouch really turns out to be a big plus. It was a good choice to introduce this packaging.”

Enthusiastic team

How does Marianne look back on the collaboration? “Very positive!”, she laughs. “The Pouch Factory was always enthusiastic during the process, I noticed that they had a great passion for developing pouches and that gave me a good feeling. We were able to move quickly and I am proud of the end result.” Whether the collaboration will end now? As far as Marianne is concerned, not: “I expect that we will need new pouches again soon to replenish the stock. I’m glad I can call the Pouch Factory again for this!”
