Packaging is the business card of your product. It should convey the feeling you have in mind. Lisa Haesevoets, owner of Nordica 31, shares her experience: “The sample box helped me make the right choices beforehand.”
Lisa’s deep passion for good food and her love for northern countries come together in food bar Nordica 31. She says, “During my travels through Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and Canada, I fell in love with the various cuisines and dining traditions. I want to bring that feeling to life in my food bar. At Nordica 31, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, delicious pastries, and also homemade granola. ‘Made from the finest quality oats, nuts, and seeds,’ Lisa says proudly. But who could help her find packaging that would convey the high quality of her granola?
Lisa searched for a suitable partner on Google. “What immediately appealed to me about the Pouchfabriek was the variety in packaging materials and sizes. There was a wide selection of products.” In addition, Lisa valued Pouchfabriek’s commitment to the environment. At Pouchfabriek, we always choose the most sustainable materials: our packaging is recyclable, and the special closure ensures the contents remain safe, minimizing waste. At Nordica 31, corporate social responsibility is also a priority. Lisa says, “I use reusable cups and coffee bags in my food bar, so it’s a big plus that my partner shares the same mission.”
Lisa requested a sample box from us, containing pouches in various materials, sizes, and closure options. “It was great to have the opportunity to feel the quality in advance,” she says. “Thanks to the sample box, I could also test how my granola would look in the packaging. For me, it was essential that the packaging stayed well-sealed and kept air out — and it did. Besides that, the look and feel of the packaging were important, and the sample box helped me make the right choices. There’s no better way to evaluate a concept package than when you can hold it yourself.” How did she find working with Pouchfabriek? “I’m busy with my business all day and work with a tight schedule, so it’s great when a partner is flexible. I definitely noticed that with Pouchfabriek. I never had to wait long for a response, and I’m sure that if I had asked for an additional sample, they would have arranged it immediately.”
At Pouchfabriek, you can have your pouch design created by our specialists or work with an external designer. Lisa chose the latter: “I’m very consistent in my design and have my own designer. This was no problem for Pouchfabriek — in fact, they were very helpful. They sent me the pouch dimensions and clearly explained the options, so my designer could get started right away. What stood out to me was the range of possibilities. It was fantastic. My designer could immediately start on a proof, incorporating natural elements and a blue color into our design.”
How’s the final result? “I’m thrilled with it,” Lisa laughs. “It’s different from what you usually see in the industry. Customers also tell me they find it very beautiful, so maybe it helps with sales.” What stands out to her most about the collaboration? Lisa says, “I think Pouchfabriek’s broad range of options is truly unique. And the fact that you can have the packaging printed is something I haven’t found at any other company. You can really tell Pouchfabriek specializes in this type of packaging — it gives a reassuring feeling. Once my stock runs out, I’ll definitely order again. I’m also planning to promote new products, and I definitely want to have a pouch developed for those too!”
