Sustainability and environmental awareness are becoming increasingly important in today’s times. Therefore, Pouchfabriek has thoroughly researched the impact of the raw materials of its packaging compared to the raw materials of other types of packaging. Pouch factory wants to play a role in making the packaging industry more sustainable by offering packaging with the lowest possible CO₂ emissions.

This study provides a comparison between CO₂ emissions from the raw materials used for our pouches and alternative packaging materials. For example, it was found that the production of the polyethylene for our pouches has a much lower CO₂ load than other materials. For example, up to 87% Kg of CO₂ equivalent can be saved by using PE pouches.

The sustainable choice

Pouch Factory chooses the most sustainable materials. We pack your product in the best way, for both our customers and the environment. We have researched the CO₂ impact of various materials, and based on this, have chosen pouches made of polyethylene. This type of plastic is easily recyclable, provides sturdy packaging and is lightweight. To promote the recyclability of pouches, one type of plastic (PE) is used as much as possible.

Manufactured with the highest quality laminated polyethylene, our pouches are designed to be reused and offer a range of benefits that transcend traditional packaging materials.

For example, the special closure ensures that the contents of the pouches are stored safely and can be reused, minimizing waste. The pouches are made of high quality laminated polyethylene. This material is easily recyclable and we do not aim to use any other types of plastic in our products.

  • The entire digital printing process requires much less power consumption than other conventional printing processes.
  • With our digital printing presses, we do not need to produce plates and cylinders for our printing process which also has a more positive impact in terms of CO2 emissions.
  • On the Pouch Factory printing presses, we produce mainly sustainable material constructions of recyclable mono material PE-PE films, which makes your packaging much better for the environment and easy to recycle.
  • Pouch Factory can print different types of materials, including paper, film, plastic and biodegradable materials. It is also possible to choose materials with special properties, such as barrier coatings, anti-static coatings or heat-resistant coatings.
  • The raw materials used at the Pouch Factory to produce our stand-up pouches and Pouches can be recycled or composted, including our films, inks and adhesives.
  • With HP Indigo technology, we use environmentally friendly water-based inks that contain no solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In addition, you can choose from a wide range of inks, including white ink, fluorescent ink and metallic ink. Our inks use much less energy than solvent-based inks or UV curing inks.
